Alpina Watches Brand Ambassador Michael Goulian Ready To Fly At The Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race
Alpina is pleased to announce its partnership renewal with Michael Goulian, one of the world’s most talented aerial demonstration pilot, to emphasize the brand’s passion for sport inspired watches in the air category.
The brand’s collaboration with Michael Goulian has started in the 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Championship events around the world, as Official Team Partner and in various activations at the most distinguished air shows in the United States.
After last year’s win at the Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race where more than 50,000 spectators watched on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche Michael’s impressive 53.695 second time through the track during the Final 4, ultimately pushing him at the top of the podium, Alpina is wishing all the best for Michael’s 11th season flying in the series!
On February 8th - 9th It will once again set the scene as the action-packed season opener for a brand-new World Championship. The Red Bull Air Race will kick off in style, offering fans the perfect racing destination with plenty to see, do and experience away from the racetrack.
The race will take place over the Arabian Gulf's stunning blue waters and fans will be able to witness all the action from the purpose-built race village on the Corniche breakwater. With unrivalled views of the race and the UAE capital's impressive skyline, the arena will be an entertainment focal point for all the family.

Hungary (2009), Abu Dhabi, UAE (2018), and Indianapolis (2018). Before beginning his racing career, Goulian earned the US National Unlimited Aerobatics Championship and the National Advanced Aerobatics Championship, and he continues to be a popular performer of aerial demonstrations. Goulian is one of just seven pilots ever to earn the triple crown of industry honors for airshow flying: the Art Scholl Memorial Award, the Bill Barber Award and the ICAS Sword of Excellence. Goulian further holds the distinction of being an honorary member of the legendary US Navy Blue Angels. Based in historic Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, the team flies the number 99 Edge 540 in the series.
